I always like it whenever it rains. When it’s raining, I will feel happy and excited. No matter how bad the rain was. Although sometimes I feel worried that it’ll get flooded, nevertheless I always feel happy. I may not like the thunder, I kind afraid of thunder, but I like the rain. So, no matter how terrible the thunder was, or how heavy and bad the rain was, I will feel excited because it’s raining.

As a pluviophile, it’s no secret that I love rain so much. I love the petrichor—smell of the earth after the rain. I love the breeze before the rain comes. I love the sound when the rain touches the ground or even when it touches the umbrella. I love the feeling when the raindrops touch me. I love the way how the rain seems like falling from heaven. I love the ripples every time the raindrops into a pool of water. I love everything about the rain—well, except the thunder.
I always like walking in the rain but wearing umbrellas can be really exciting too, since I can hear the raindrops clearly. So no, I am not wearing umbrellas to protect myself from the rain. I am not afraid of getting ill because I am soaking wet in the rain, I just don’t. I wear my umbrellas to hear the raindrops. I am indeed a pluviophile—a lover of rain.
“Another who says or thinks that sunshine is pure happiness, has never danced in the rain.” – Anonymous
When I was a little kid, I used to watch—besides the window in my car—two drops of rain falling down on the window. I watched them racing to reach the bottom of my window. Yeah, I am that kind of kid. I always find raindrops are amusing even up until now. Sometimes people don’t like the rain because they afraid it will get flooded. I don’t think it is the rain’s fault when it started to get flooded. I think it’s the people who can’t take care of their own environment.
“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.” – Anonymous
When there’s rain, sometimes there will be rainbow as well. I have rarely seen one. It’s quite rare. But when the rainbow shows up, I will be so happy that I can look at it until it disappears. Now you can tell how much I like rain, can’t you? Rain really can make me feel calm. It really soothes me. I really love the rain so much. I guess these words have explained a lot about how do I feel when it rains. How about you? Are you a pluviophile like me too?
“When it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain there would be no rainbow.” – Anonymous
